Why Socksmith?
Socksmith was founded on the belief that socks should be anything but boring. Using a combination of creativity and wit, we strive to make our products more expressive and fun—while maintaining high standards in quality, design, and comfort.
Are sock sizes the same as shoe sizes?
Not exactly! Here's how they break down:
- Women's socks: typically fit U.S. women's shoe size 5–10
- Men's socks: typically fit U.S. men's shoe size 7–12
- Kids' socks: size ranges are listed on each product page
For the most accurate fit, refer to the size information on each product page.
Where are your socks made?
All Socksmith socks are designed in Santa Cruz, California. We partner with trusted factories in Korea, China, and Turkey to produce our socks.
How do I care for my socks?
We recommend machine wash cold and tumble dry low. Avoid bleach and harsh chemicals to keep your socks looking their best.
Orders & Payments
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, PayPal, and Socksmith gift cards.
Do you offer gift cards?
Yes! You can purchase a digital gift card. It’s delivered by email and can be forwarded to the recipient or used by you. Please note: gift cards are not refundable.
Can I change or cancel my order?
If your order has not yet shipped, we may be able to help. Please contact us before 12 PM ET on the same business day and we’ll do our best to accommodate your request.
Shipping
When will my order ship?
Orders typically ship within 48 hours (Mon–Fri). Orders placed during the holiday season or peak periods may take a bit longer to process.
What shipping options are available?
We offer several shipping options, including:

- Fleet Optics
- Canada Post
- UPS

Do you offer free shipping?
Orders above $60 (Canada domestic) qualify for free Standard ground shipping (estimated 3–10 business days).
Can I change shipping after I order?
In some cases, yes. If you contact us before 12 PM ET the following business day and provide a phone number, we may be able to adjust your shipping option.
Do you ship internationally?
We are not currently shipping internationally. Please check our Shipping Terms page for any updates.
My package says "delivered" but I don't have it. What next?
First, check with neighbors, nearby offices, or your local post office. If you still can’t locate your package, contact us and we’ll help look into it.
Returns & Exchanges
What's your return policy?
Returns are accepted within 30 days if the packaging has not been tampered with and the socks are unworn. Shipping fees are non-refundable.
If you’re returning a gift or received the wrong shipment, contact us and we’ll help make it easy.
What if my socks are defective?
Please send a photo and your order information within 30 days. We’ll review the issue and work to get it sorted out quickly.
To help your socks last, avoid snagging them on rough surfaces. We’re unable to accept returns on socks damaged by wear or washing.
Can I return socks purchased elsewhere?
If you purchased your socks from Amazon or another retailer, please reach out to them directly for returns or exchanges.

Do you make custom socks?
We don’t offer custom socks at this time. For licensing inquiries, please reach out via our contact form.
Do you offer wholesale?
Yes! You can apply for Socksmith wholesale by visiting our wholesale page and submitting your store details.
Are you accepting donations?
Our donation program is temporarily paused, but we’re excited to bring it back in the future.
